CGPA to percentage
Universities publish their own conversion. Use the formula on your transcript or notice. This page does not certify a percentage for admissions.
Pick the formula your marksheet or university uses, then type the CGPA. Compare other formulas below if you are unsure.

CGPA to percentage for Indian marksheets
There is no single India-wide CGPA formula. CBSE used CGPA × 9.5 on older grade sheets. Some universities use × 10. VTU is often (CGPA − 0.75) × 10. Mumbai University is often cited as 7.1 × CGPA + 11. GTU is often (CGPA − 0.5) × 10. A 4.0 GPA is mapped linearly here as GPA / 4 × 100.
Pick the formula your transcript or controller of examinations published. Job and admission forms that say “percentage as per university conversion” want that letter, not a guess from a website.

Marks to percentage
When the sheet already shows marks, percentage is obtained ÷ total × 100. Do not mix two semesters in one total unless the form asks for aggregate. Open the Marks page if you only need that calculation.
