Unlock a PDF with the password you already know
Unlock PDF removes the password from a file you are allowed to open, then lets you download a copy that other tools and portals can use. Typical cases are a bank statement, form pack or certificate that arrived locked, when you know the password the sender gave you.
This is not a password cracker. If you do not know the password, this tool cannot guess it. Use only files you own or were given permission to open.
The file is processed for the job and then discarded. Complete the bot check when asked. Do not upload confidential PDFs you are unwilling to send over the network.
How to remove a PDF password
Upload the locked PDF, type the password, wait for the job to finish, then download. Open the download once on your device to confirm it no longer asks for a password.

Open password versus print restriction
Some PDFs ask for a password before they open. Enter that password here. Other PDFs open freely but block printing, copying or editing. If you can already read the file, you can often unlock it with the password field left blank.
After you have an unlocked copy, use Edit PDF, Merge PDF, Split / Delete Pages or Compress PDF as you would with any other file.
Wrong password
A wrong password is rejected. Check the email or letter that came with the file. Bank statements often use a date of birth or account digits. This tool will not try other passwords for you.
Good practice
Keep the original locked file until the unlocked copy is accepted. Do not email an unlocked KYC pack more widely than you would send the locked original.
If the PDF is not password protected, the tool will say so. If merge or edit still fails after unlock, the file may be damaged; rebuild scans with Image to PDF.
