Add text, cover old content with white-out, or stamp an image / signature. Existing PDF text is not rewritten in place.
Select a box to change it. Delete removes the selected box.
Edit a PDF in the browser
Edit PDF lets you open an existing file, place new content on the page and download the result. Typical jobs are covering a wrong date, typing a name on a form scan, stamping a signature, or pasting a passport photo onto a sheet that already has the rest of the layout.
The original PDF stays the background. New text, white rectangles and images sit on top. That is the reliable way to change a finished PDF. It is not the same as opening the file in Word and rewriting every sentence.
Editing runs in your browser. There is no account and no watermark. Password-protected files need Unlock PDF first: enter the known password, download the unlocked copy, then edit that file.
How to add text, white-out and images
Upload the PDF and wait for the page preview. Add text to type on the page, white-out to cover a line, or an image for a photo or signature. Drag the box, resize from a corner, then download.
- Add text with size, colour and font
- Cover old content with a white box
- Stamp a JPG or PNG image or signature
- Switch pages with the thumbnail strip
- Download a new PDF; the original file is unchanged
What this editor can and cannot do
You can add new content and hide old content by covering it. You cannot click inside an existing paragraph and type as you would in a word processor. PDFs store text as positioned fragments, often with subset fonts, so that kind of rewrite is not offered here.
Scanned forms are images. White-out plus new text is the usual way to correct them. If you only need to drop or reorder pages, use Split / Delete Pages or Arrange PDF instead.
Fonts and Indian-language text
New text uses standard PDF fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier). English and Western European characters print cleanly. Other scripts may show as question marks. For those, add the line as an image instead.
Tips for forms and office files
Cover the old value completely before typing the new one, then open the download once to check alignment. Keep the original until the portal or clerk accepts the file.
If the edited PDF is too large to upload, open Compress PDF next. If you need to insert a photo page, convert the photo with Image to PDF and Merge PDF, then edit if a label still needs adding.
Do not use this tool to alter certificates, marksheets or ID documents in a way you are not allowed to. It is for files you own or are asked to complete.
