This passport photo maker crops a face photo to common sizes used on Indian passports, visas, PAN, Aadhaar-related prints, SSC, railway, banking and college forms. You can queue more than one crop, set copies, and print several photos on a single sheet instead of paying for a studio sheet every time you fill a form.
A usable passport photograph is more than a tight crop. The face should be centred, the background plain, the expression neutral and the file sharp enough to survive a later resize. This tool handles the crop, the copies and the print layout. Use Image Resize afterwards if a portal still asks for a maximum size in KB.
You do not need an account. The crop and sheet run in the browser. Download or print the sheet and you are done. Template Maker does not submit passport or visa applications and does not attest photographs.
How to make a passport photo online
Start with a recent colour photo. Sit facing the camera, keep the camera at eye level and leave space above the head. A plain white or light background is easier to accept on most Indian forms. Avoid heavy filters, sunglasses and caps unless a religious head covering is required and the face stays fully visible.
Upload the image, pick a size such as a standard passport or a form-specific millimetre size, then drag the crop so the head is centred. Add that crop to the queue. Repeat for a second person if you are printing a family sheet. Set copies for each face, then generate the print sheet.
- Use even lighting and a plain background
- Keep the full face visible and looking at the camera
- Crop with the preset, then add copies to the sheet
- Print on regular photo or A4 paper according to your printer
Passport, visa and exam photo sizes
Indian passport photographs are commonly 35 mm by 45 mm. Many visa categories use the same millimetre size with stricter background rules. Exam and job portals often ask for pixels such as 200 by 230 or a file under 50 KB or 100 KB. The maker here focuses on cropping and printing. Pair it with Image Resize when the portal rejects the file for being too large.
If you only need one digital file and no print sheet, you can still crop here and download the single photo. If the scan is skewed, use Image Crop first to straighten corners, then come back to Passport Photo for the size preset.
Printing several photos on one sheet
Studios print a grid of identical photos so you can cut them with scissors. The queue on this page does the same: several copies of one face, or mixed faces for a family trip. Check the preview before you print so you do not waste photo paper.
What this tool does not do
It does not guarantee that a mission, PSK or exam board will accept the photo. Always read the latest instructions for that form. It also does not replace a photographer when a high-street studio is required by the authority.
Tips for photos that pass form checks
Retake the picture if the face is blurry, if a shadow cuts across the cheek, or if the crop cuts the chin or hair. Do not stretch a small selfie to fill the frame; that pixelation is a common reason portals reject uploads.
When a form asks for both a photograph and a signature image, crop the photo here and use Image Crop or Image Convert for the signature scan. Keep original files until the application is accepted, in case you must upload again at a different KB limit.

Frequently asked questions
Is this passport photo maker free?
Yes. Crop, queue copies and print a sheet without a login or payment.
What size is an Indian passport photo?
The usual print size is 35 mm × 45 mm. Always confirm the size printed on your specific form or visa leaflet, because some categories differ.
Can I print multiple passport photos on one page?
Yes. Add crops to the queue, set the number of copies and generate a sheet you can print and cut.
Does the photo stay on my computer?
The crop and sheet run in your browser. We do not store a gallery of your passport photos.
Will this photo be accepted at a Passport Seva Kendra?
The tool formats the crop and print layout. Acceptance still depends on lighting, background, clothing and the rules in force on the day you apply.
How do I reduce the photo to 20 KB or 50 KB?
Crop here first, then open Image Resize and set a target file size in KB.
