UK passport photographs are 45 mm high by 35 mm wide — the same millimetre box as an Indian passport print, with different background and quality rules. This page selects the UK 35×45 preset.
GOV.UK publishes the official rules, including expression, shadows, and whether a digital photo or a printed photo is required for your route. This tool only crops and prints. It does not replace the UK photo checker or a Post Office / booth when that is required.
Background and digital upload
Many UK passport photos use a light grey or cream background rather than a studio-white Indian PSK wall. Set the background colour here to match the notice. Remove a busy room if the original photo is not already plain.
