A4 layout for unofficial ID and PVC copies
ID / PVC Layout is a print helper. You crop scans of cards you already own, pair front and back, place them on an A4 sheet sized for common PVC printers, and download PDF or PNG. It does not create a new identity document and it does not replace a government issuer.
Use it for a spare copy of a card you hold, a shop print of your own access badge, or a layout check before you send a file to a PVC printer. Do not use it to fabricate documents, alter names, or reproduce cards you are not entitled to possess.
Prints from this page are unofficial copies. Employers, banks and police will not treat them as originals. Carry the issued card when an original is required.
How to crop and pair front and back
Upload images or a PDF of the scan. If a page is a whole A4 with a small card in the middle, crop with the four-corner editor so only the card remains. Mark faces as front or back, attach pairs, pick a sheet layout, and preview before download.
Enhance options, if you use them, are for faded scans, not for changing data. If text is unreadable, rescan; do not invent pixels.

Legal and practical limits
Forgery and unauthorised reproduction of government ID is a crime. This tool exists so people who already have a card can print a layout. We do not verify that your scan matches a live database. If you cannot show the original, do not print a copy.
Holograms, chips and UV features will not transfer. A PVC print is a picture of a card, not a smart card.
Printer setup
Print at actual size, not “fit to page”, or the millimetre size will drift. Use the paper the PVC vendor specified. If fronts and backs mis-register, check that both crops used the same card edges.
Tips
Scan at a high resolution on a flatbed if you can. Phone photos need even light and no glare on the laminate. Crop glare out rather than hoping print will hide it.
For passport photos rather than card fronts, use Passport Photo. For a generic crop without PVC slots, use Image Crop.

Frequently asked questions
Does this issue official ID cards?
No. It only lays out scans of cards you already own. Prints are unofficial copies.
Can I print front and back on A4?
Yes. Pair faces and choose a PVC-style A4 layout, then download PDF or PNG.
Can I crop a skewed scan?
Yes. Drag all four corners to the card edges before you place it on the sheet.
Is this legal?
Printing a copy of a card you own for personal convenience is a layout task. Fabricating or altering IDs is illegal. Do not use the tool for that.
Will holograms print?
No. You get an ink or toner picture of the scan, not security features.
Is a login required?
No. The layout tool is free to use.
