Add page numbers to PDF
Stamp 1, 1 / N or “Page 1” on every page. Skip the first page if it is a cover.
No file
Numbers are drawn in the browser. They sit in the margin — keep size small so they do not cover text.
Add page numbers to a PDF
Job applications, affidavits and college files are easier to check when every page has a number. This tool draws 1, 1 / N or “Page 1” in a margin you choose. Skip the first page when it is a covering letter that should stay unnumbered.
Numbers use Helvetica. Keep the size small so they do not cover a footer that is already printed. Work stays in the browser.

After numbering
If pages are in the wrong order, arrange first, then number. Numbering a reversed scan makes the labels worse. Compress afterwards if the portal has a size cap — numbering barely changes file size.
