Resize a photo for MPOnline uploads

MPOnline hosts many Madhya Pradesh citizen and exam services. Each scheme prints its own photograph rule on the form. Operators still search “MPOnline photo resize” because the default phone image is too large for the kiosk. This page uses the Image Resize tool with JPG and 50 KB as the usual starting cap.

If the on-screen help says 20 KB or 30 KB, change the target before you generate. Do not assume every MPOnline service is 50 KB. The scheme page in front of the operator is the rule, not a blog post from last year.

Kiosk workflow

Download the JPG to the PC, then use Browse in the MPOnline control. Avoid WhatsApp-compressed forwards; start from the camera file. Name the file something simple in English without spaces if an older browser on the kiosk misreads Unicode names.

WEBP and HEIC are frequent failures on departmental sites behind MPOnline. This page exports JPG. Convert first if you only have a .heic.

  • JPG output by default
  • 50 KB start; edit the box for 20 or 30 KB schemes
  • Crop the face so the kiosk preview is usable
  • Keep a copy until the application number is issued

MPOnline versus CSC and MPESB

CSC centres also fill MPOnline services; the photo problem is the same. MPESB exams filled through MPOnline still need the exam notice for pixels. Use the MPESB page when the customer is specifically applying to ESB, and this page when the ticket is a generic MPOnline upload.

Frequently asked questions

What is the MPOnline photo size?

It depends on the scheme. This page starts at 50 KB JPG. Set 20 KB or 30 KB if that is what the form shows.

Can I do this on the kiosk computer?

Yes, in the browser. Download the JPG locally, then upload it in MPOnline.

Why does MPOnline reject my photo?

Usually the file is still over the KB cap, not JPG, or the pixel size is wrong. Check all three. Crop extra background and generate again.

Is WEBP allowed?

Often no. Download JPG from this page.

Is this an official MPOnline site?

No. It is a free compressor on Template Maker. It does not log you into MPOnline.
