Resize a photo to 100 KB

A 100 KB limit is more forgiving than 50 KB. Universities, some state boards and newer recruitment sites allow it so the face stays clearer. This page prefills 100 KB as JPG. If your notice still says 50 KB, use that page instead — uploading 100 KB to a 50 KB slot fails.

Phone pictures are often 1–4 MB. The portal is not asking for print quality. Crop, compress to 100 KB, and keep the original on the phone until the form is accepted.

100 KB versus 50 KB and 200 KB

Fifty kilobytes is still the exam-photo default. Two hundred kilobytes is closer to a document scan. One hundred kilobytes is the middle path when the instruction is “photo below 100 KB” or “maximum 100KB JPEG”.

If the same form wants a marksheet image at 200 KB and a photo at 100 KB, do not reuse one file for both slots. Compress each from the original.

Colour background and 100 KB
